FAQs

Parking
There is ample parking on site, with overspill in the local village if required.

Travel Information
It is essential that transport following your event is pre-booked. If you require taxis this must organise in advance as it can be very difficult to get a taxi on the night of your event. Please refer to our Supplier webpage for taxi information.  To ensure the taxi can find the venue please use our What3Words location: apes.enjoy.stamp.

Confetti
If you choose to use confetti, we politely request that you only use fresh or dried flower petals outside the building. Paper (including biodegradable), rice, metal or plastic is prohibited.

Smoking
There is a no-smoking policy within the buildings of Slindon House. Ashtrays are provided on the terrace and we request that you direct guests to smoke in that designated area and use the ashtrays provided.

Fireworks, Chinese Lanterns & Sparklers
Sadly due to our fire safety restrictions and the rural location we cannot permit fireworks or open flame aerial lanterns. Sparklers can be used on the tarmac area of the oval away from the main building and Orangery.

Pets and other animals
Unless specific requests are made in advance, we do not allow domestic pets on site. This is because of livestock and other animals on site and in adjoining fields. Of course, we do allow some exceptions, e.g. guide dogs for the blind. Please ask us if you wish to bring a pet.

Finish Time
Our license allows for music to be played until 11:30pm with the bar service closing at 11pm. All guests must have vacated the venue by midnight.

Behaviour
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.  Slindon Village is a quiet and private location and whilst we want you to have fun during your event, we will not tolerate inappropriate behaviour or excessive noise, especially late at night. In such eventualities you may be asked to leave the premises by the organisers.

Drone Use
Filming by drone is allowed but permission and appropriate insurance cover must be in place in advance. We cannot accept any liability for injuries or other incidents resulting from drone use.
