The House and Grounds

Slindon House offers a truly historic and unique backdrop to your event. 

A striking, Georgian style Manor House set in stunning South Down National Park countryside. It has the most breath-taking views of any venue in the County.

The house is sited on a high shelf of the South Downs with a fine view over parkland to the south where the ground drops steadily to the coast. With uninterrupted views to the sea, the 14-acre setting provides the perfect atmosphere for parties, weddings and events of all kinds. 

Inside Slindon House venue is the impressive Entrance Hall with its Winding Oak Staircase, double height Grand Hall with adjoining, spacious Blue and Green Rooms as well as the Dining Room all with characterful fireplaces. The stunning Victorian Conservatory adjacent to the Main Entrance is owned by the National Trust.  

Slindon House grounds are extensive, with an ornamental garden featuring an arbor, secret paths meandering through woodland and a perfectly manicured sunken lawn. The expansive land also comprises a walled garden, outdoor heated swimming pool and play area as well as an on-site small holding with resident donkeys, pigs and alpacas.
