FAQs

Here are a few  Frequently Asked  Questions but if there is  anything else you would like to know please contact us and we will be happy to help you.

Parking
There is limited on-site parking at Slindon House however additional parking for your event can be made available on our Hard Court by pre-arrangement.

Travel Information (Taxis)
It is essential that transport following your event is pre-arranged. Any Guests requiring taxis must organise these in advance as it can be very difficult to book a taxi on the night of your event.

Local Taxis:
StarLine (Chichester)
01243 531666
Barnham Station Taxis – 01243 551753
Castle Cars (Arundel) – 01903 884444 or 01903 889988

Confetti
If you choose to use confetti, we ask that you only use fresh or dried petals. Paper (including biodegradable) rice, metal or plastic is not to be used.

Smoking
There is a no-smoking policy within the buildings of Slindon House.

Fireworks & Chinese Lanterns
Sadly, we are not able to allow fireworks or open flame aerial lanterns at Slindon House. This is due to the proximity of livestock and specimen trees.

Pets and other animals
Unless specific requests are made in advance, we do not allow domestic pets on site. This is because of livestock and other animals in nearby fields. Of course, we do allow some exceptions, e.g. guide dogs for the blind. Please inform us if you intend to bring pets.

If you would like something special, like a horseback wedding at Slindon House, then please contact us with your request and we will always try to accommodate it.

Finish Time
We have a specific curfew of 11:30pm beyond which amplified music cannot be played, but we do appreciate guests need time to leave and can be flexible on the final hour of departure.

Facilities
Use of our catering facilities and WCs is also included in our hire package. Additional equipment such as chairs, chair covers and tables can be made available subject to numbers.

Behaviour
Children must be supervised by adults at all times.

We ask you in particular to respect our neighbours. Slindon Village is a quiet and private location and whilst we want you to have fun during your visit, we will also not tolerate inappropriate behaviour or excessive noise, especially late at night. In such eventualities you may be asked to leave the premises by the organisers.

Camping/Glamping
The grounds are extensive and do allow for overnight camping should that be desirable. To accommodate this you will need to organise hire of portable toilets and washrooms as access to the House after hours is not possible. We ask that you do not light fires or BBQs in the grounds.

 Drone video filming
Filming by drone is allowed but permission and appropriate insurance cover must be in place. We cannot accept any liability for injuries or other incidents resulting from drone use. Please get in touch to secure permissions.
